SIGNAL PROCESSING AND MODELLING IN NEUROENGINEERING: ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES FOR REHABILITATION
Borromeo College, University of Pavia, Italy
August 30th - September 6th, 2015
The Steering Committee of the 2015 Summer School of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society invites you to apply for participation to the IX Summer School on Biomedical Signal Processing: "Signal Processing and Modelling in Neuroengineering: enabling technologies for rehabilitation", which will be held in Pavia, Italy, August 30th - September 6th, 2015.
Prominent experts in the area of biomedical signal processing, medical decision making, medical informatics, medicine, signal processing, applied physiology will introduce novel techniques and algorithms as well as their clinical or physiological applications. We encourage engineers, medical researchers, computer scientists, physicists and applied mathematicians to join us and to learn about recent developments in signal processing and their applications in diagnosis, treatment and patient monitoring tasks.
The Certosa di Pavia
The Summer School will be held at the Almo Collegio Borromeo, recognized by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research as a "highly qualified Cultural Institute". It is one of the two historic colleges in Pavia that stand out as prestigious institutions of the Lombardy-Veneto area. Collegio Borromeo was founded in 1561 by the estate of St. Charles Borromeo. The aim was, through this benefaction, to create an institution capable of accommodating young promising students experiencing finacial hardship. Nowadays, the services offered by the college are not limited to food and housing, but rather are focused on providing training in parallel and integrated with the University.
